Site Managers / Assistant Site Managers

Due to a successful period of sustained growth, we are looking for Assistant Site Managers and Site Managers with a keen eye for detail to join our Construction team based in Sandwich, Kent. If you enjoy the challenge of achieving targets whilst maintaining exceptional standards, then we'd like to hear from you!

Job Role: Assistant Site Manager / Site Manager
Location: Various development locations across Kent
Department: Construction
Hours: 8.00 – 5pm
Reporting Line Manager: Head of Construction

Personal Attributes: The successful candidate will be organised, ethical and professional with a keen eye for detail. They must be self-motivated, forward thinking and capable of working within a team to meet tight deadlines in a high-pressured environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

Deliver all aspects of production requirements in accordance with relevant technical and planning documentation.
Ensure that all works conform to H&S policies, building regulations and warranty provider’s requirements.
Manage the construction site on a day to day basis, including supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work, and overseeing quality control.
Pre plan and ensure efficient usage of all resources including application of quality supervision and communication regime of labour, sub-contractors, plant, and materials.
Schedule works to ensure that programme targets are met and to the highest of standards.
Supervise site operatives and activities, including plant and materials, ensuring everything is carried out safely and to our exacting standards.
Implement the requirements of method statements, RAMs, and other work procedures to ensure compliance.
Fully comply with Sunningdale/Development House Ltd.’s customer satisfaction policy and procedures.
Adhere to the DHL ‘Project Quality Control’ document for each property
Ensure the highest quality of site presentation, signage, cleanliness, and the tidiness of all facilities.
Prepare progress reports.
Monitor site operative attendance and daily allocation sheets.
Demonstrate a commitment to personal development.

Role and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and Chair Design Team meetings & design team workshops.
Coordinate all consultants programmes and incorporate into a realistic and fully coordinated design programme.
Review and critically appraise the Architectural designs to ensure full compliance with relevant Building Regulations, Design Standards and Governing bodies.
Review and critically appraise the Civil and Structural Engineering design to ensure design compliance is achieve and best value is afforded to Development House Ltd.
Review and record the wider Design Team’s output in progress against the coordinated programme and implement structure to ensure successful delivery.
Critically review the quality and suitability of design output from the Design Team members and subcontractors with design responsibility by reviewing and commenting on drawings, schedules & specifications ensuring the information is accurate and complete, leading to successful delivery of the project.
Understand the impact of temporary works upon the design from the designers, consider if all design generated is the most effective in terms of cost, safety, and buildability.
Review designer’s risk assessments with the design team and CDMC.
Review construction options with Commercial Department and choose most effective and cost-effective solution.
All temporary works design to be reviewed, commented, and approved by the Design Team.
Ensure all legal requirements with regards to sectional agreements are in place and bonds agreed prior to commencement of the site.
